Dr Sukerman earned his Medical Degree from Columbia Medical School in collaboration with Ben Gurion University of the Negev.  He later went on to study an Internship in General Surgery at Tuffs Health Science Center in Boston before completing his Family Medicine training in Florida at the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital before he ultimately returned to Canada to start his practice. 

Since that time, he has been instrumental in creating the University of Toronto's Mississauga Academy of Medicine, where he has won on numerous occasions the University of Toronto Teacher of the Year Award for his dedication to developing new doctors, medical education in the Toronto Community, and for his role in the design of the clinical curriculum.  Patients often comment on his talent for explaining complex medical elements in a seemingly attainable and simple way.  His  ongoing pursuit and willful sharing of knowledge runs deep and beyond his Medical Career as he was previously a High School Teacher and holds a Master's Degree in Education. 

Dr Sukerman is the owner and founder of the doc on the block FHO Medical Centre. He is an avid cyclist, aspiring wildlife photographer, husband, and father to two beautiful boys. He has a great passion for his profession.  Dr Sukerman is loyal to each and everyone of his patients. Always seeking to collaborate with his patients, Dr Sukerman aims to place his patients in the drivers seat of their care while supporting and assisting the facilitation of that autonomous care path.  His well established contributions to the Toronto medical community have afforded him a wide breadth of connections to top notch specialists in the GTA.  From this extensive resources, Dr Sukerman is able to deliver core services with timely access to an extensive network of care provisions for his patients. 

Shelly is a registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Shelly holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a Master of Social Work and a Bachelor degree in Education. 

Shelly began her career working with children and families in 2000 before transitioning to the medical field as a hospital Staff Social Worker. Through her work in acute care, she gained experience across all domains of medicine, surgery, oncology and rehab. 

Shelly has extensive psychotherapeutic experience in supporting individuals through chronic/acute illnesses, situational crises and life events. She has expertise in treating acquired brain injuries, maladaptive coping, stress tolerance, addictions, grief and mental health wellness. She offers supportive counselling, lifestyle coaching, case management and assistance with community resource engagement. Shelly utilizes a variety of approaches based on what best suits the client which include CBT/DBT, solution-focused, narrative and systems theories.

Ms Wiseman is a published expert in her field and a long-time professional educator on the topic of Nutrition at many colleges. Her approach is effective, kind and accomplished.

While she is well versed in Complete Nutritional support and wellness, her speciality is weight loss/gain and improved health for Diabetics.  Through years of experience and research Ara has discovered secrets to weight loss, keeping weight off and slowing down the aging process.

Dr. Ungerman is a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto Ontario. Jordan also holds a Bachelor of Health Science degree from the University of Western. As well, he is a graduate of the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition and has practiced as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and Personal Trainer since 2010 in Toronto.

Jordan personally believes that success with patients comes by treating the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual interconnected elements of health. He listens empathically to help foster a relationship with his patients in order to form a partnership for their journey to greater health.

His special interests include treating those with issues in digestive health, mental health, pain management and helping those who are looking to optimize their wellness. He also has had previous success helping others achieve goals relating to weight loss, building muscle, increasing endurance and sport performance.

From a journalist exploring the world and unveiling the truth of society, to a law clerk putting forward her valiant efforts to defend insurance claims on Bay Street, Jacqueline has finally found her new path and join the Health Sector.  We at doc on the block are for sure glad that she made that career choice leap as our team has flourished greatly under her guidance and expertise.

Jessica is diligent, hardworking, and a determined Nurse who seeks to advocate for each and every patient.  She has your back and will be sure to facilitate every request you make both administratively and at point of care protocol.

Matthew Quattrociocchi is a Canadian Certified Pedorthist graduating from McMaster University with a degree in Kinesiology and completing post-graduate education in Pedorthics at the University of Western Ontario. Matt has been in practice since 2002 and takes great pride in providing truly custom solutions for each of his patients. In depth biomechanical assessments and hand crafted, truly custom, foot orthotics is what Matthew and his clinic, The Foot Company, have become known for. 

Matt works with patients in an effort to get them back to full health and returning to the activities or work that they want to do. From children to seniors, safety boots to runners, plantar fasciitis to diabetes, Matthew works will all types of people in coming up with specific orthotic and footwear solutions.

As a foot-care professional and avid athlete, Matt’s knowledge and love of sports compliments and enhances his ability to treat the patients he sees each day.  Matt takes an active role with the Pedorthic Association of Canada and is the Chair of a task force whose prime focus is pursuing regulated legislation for pedorthists in Ontario.
